Come and enjoy the "Northgate experience" at Reed Arena and get ready to BTHO Army! Join your fellow Aggies on Sept. 26 at the 2008 All-Aggie Hullabaloo, complete with music, domino tables and our own version of bottle cap alley. Everyone is invited. Bring the family and connect in Aggieland.

Aggie Ring Day
Our next Ring Day Sept. 19 will be a happy day for the 3,000-plus Aggies who will receive their Aggie Rings at G. Rollie White Coliseum. Ring tickets will be available starting at 7:15 a.m. that morning at the coliseum ticket booth. Rings will be passed out from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. with yell practice at the front entrance of the coliseum at 2:45 p.m.

Distinguished Alumni Gala
AD Make plans to join us for the Distinguished Alumni Gala at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Brazos County Exposition Center in Bryan. The Distinguished Alumnus Award is the highest award bestowed upon a former student and will be awarded to Charles H. "Charlie" Weinbaum, Jr. '47 of Beaumont; James D. "Doug" Pitcock, Jr. '49 of Houston; Arthur R. "Artie" McFerrin, Jr. '65 of Kingwood; and Neal W. Adams '68 of Euless.

Association Staff Locations On Game Day
The Association of Former Students' staff is on campus and available to assist you on game days, as our headquarters, the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center, is enhanced to better serve the Aggie Network. Staff members will stand ready to assist you three hours prior to each home game in our information tent in Spence Park, situated between the Clayton W. Williams, Jr. Alumni Center and Kyle Field.

The Association Helps Welcome Students
About 1,600 members of the Class of 2012 attended Hot Diggity Dog, a cookout hosted by The Association of Former Students to welcome new students to campus. Held Aug. 19, Hot Diggity Dog is the first of many events The Association sponsors for current students each semester. To welcome international students, The Association helped sponsor the International Student Welcome Party, with about 800 students listening to music, playing games, dancing and enjoying refreshments.

12th Man Kickoff Team Celebration
Aggies are invited to join Coach Jackie Sherrill and the original 12thMan Kickoff Team in celebration and launch of their book, No Experience Required, on Friday, Sept. 26, at 7 p.m. in the Zone Club. Proceeds from the sale of No Experience Required will be used to fund scholarships for the descendants of any Aggie killed in action while serving their country in the Armed Forces in Iraq.

AD Photo Caption Reveille VIII Welcomed To Aggieland
Reveille VIII attended her first Texas A&M football game Aug. 30, the season-opening matchup against Arkansas State. Reveille is a 2-year-old sable and white female collie from Topeka, Kan. She was announced as the new First Lady of Aggieland on Aug. 11 after a nearly seven-month nationwide search.

Aggie Olympians
Three former students earned a place on the medal stand during the 2008 Olympics in Beijing. Stacy Sykora '98, who competed for the U.S. in volleyball, won a silver medal. Davey Johnson '64, manager for the U.S. baseball team, earned a bronze medal with the rest of Team USA. Christine Marshall '10, swimming for the U.S., won a bronze in the 800-meter freestyle relay. New School Year Kicks Off
A record 47,925 students are enrolled at Texas A&M University this fall, with a record-breaking 8,127 incoming freshmen. Residence halls opened for student move-in Aug. 17 and Freshman Convocation was held Aug. 24. Classes started Aug. 25.

MSC Open House
MSC Fall Open House brought more than 400 student groups together Aug. 31 to offer students a comprehensive look at the organizations available at Texas A&M. It is estimated that about 10,000 to 15,000 students attended.
